We’re hiring a WordPress Developer
As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining WordPress websites. You will work with clients to understand their needs and translate them into functional websites, customizing themes and plugins as needed. You will ensure that websites are optimized for speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
Required Experience Skills And Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of experience in WordPress development or related fields.
- Experience working with WordPress themes, plugins, and custom post types.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Attention to detail and ability to write clean, well-documented code.
- Familiarity with WordPress coding standards and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with designers, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Familiarity with website optimization techniques for performance and SEO.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Strong understanding of web development principles and technologies.
- Knowledge of web design principles and experience working with design tools, such as Photoshop.
- Familiarity with database management and MYSQL.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Develop and maintain WordPress-based websites, plugins, and themes.
- Create and customise WordPress themes and templates using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and PHP.
- Ensure that WordPress sites are responsive, optimised for search engines, and meet web accessibility standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug WordPress sites to identify and fix issues related to performance, security, and functionality.
- Implement and customise WordPress plugins to extend the functionality of WordPress sites.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and other stakeholders to plan and execute WordPress projects.
- Manage WordPress site migrations, backups, and updates to ensure site stability and security.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to WordPress projects, including project plans, technical specifications, and user manuals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in WordPress development and contribute to the WordPress community through code contributions, blog posts, and other activities.
